‘Free Palestine’ Is Today’s Equivalent of ‘Heil Hitler’

Netanyahu Condemns Attacks in Washington, D.C.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the terrorist attacks that occurred in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, stating that the phrase “Free Palestine” is akin to a modern version of “Heil Hitler.” This comment gained attention when made public on Thursday via X.

In his remarks, Netanyahu referenced an incident involving Elias Rodriguez, a 31-year-old from Chicago, who, while being suspected of murder, shouted “Free, free Palestine!” after fatally injuring two staff members at the Israeli Embassy. This connection seemed to underline his point about the implications of such slogans.

Netanyahu also took the opportunity to rebuke leaders from France, Britain, and Canada for suggesting that Israel should halt military action in Gaza until Hamas is disarmed. He implied that following this advice would transform October 7th into a day of shame for the Palestinians instead of a symbolic victory.

Earlier this week, Netanyahu expressed his regret regarding an incident involving the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where a warning shot was mistakenly fired at a group of visiting diplomats in the West Bank. The soldiers had misidentified them as potential combatants.
