Kevin Harlan’s Enthusiastic Commentary during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals
During Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Kevin Harlan provided an exhilarating commentary. It took place late in the third quarter as the Knicks faced off against the Pacers. Star point guard Jalen Brunson leaped toward the TNT broadcast table in pursuit of a loose ball, and Harlan was right there to narrate the action.
“Brunson, oh, I see him coming in, he falls into our lap and plays the ball—on the other hand, [Josh] Hart is over there,” he announced energetically during the game.
Once things calmed down, Harlan reflected on the chaotic moment. He shared his experience alongside fellow commentators, saying with a chuckle, “I’m wet, I’m dirty, here and there!”
It appeared something had spilled on the table because video footage showed Harlan bouncing up in his seat as the play unfolded.
Brunson, 28, successfully continued to play, passing the ball to Hart, who made a layup to give the Knicks a temporary lead.
The Pacers quickly responded, spearheaded by their forward, who used to play for the Knicks.
This isn’t the first time Harlan has showcased his off-the-cuff commentary skills. A similar event occurred during the 2025 NCAA Tournament. In that game between North Carolina and Mississippi, he deftly described a loose ball incident while perched at the broadcast table.
“I was pushed, fell aside, and ended up knocking it out of bounds,” Harlan recalled at that time.
Although Brunson scored an impressive 36 points, the Knicks ultimately lost Game 2, 114-109. The Pacers’ Pascal Siakam was the standout scorer, finishing with 39 points while shooting 65% from the field.
With this defeat, the Knicks now trail the series 2-0, with Game 3 scheduled for Sunday at 8 PM in Indiana.
