Kanye West Claims to End Anti-Semitism After Controversial Song
In a surprising turn of events, Kanye West announced that he has “finished anti-Semitism.” This statement came just weeks after he released a song with a chorus that controversially included “n*gga, heil hitler.”
On Thursday morning, West shared his thoughts on social media, affirming, “I’ve finished anti-Semitism.” Following this, he expressed his love for everyone in a subsequent post.
In yet another message, he sought forgiveness, saying, “God please forgive me for the pain I caused.” He also mentioned forgiving those who have brought him pain.
West indicated a change in his mindset, explaining, “I just got my whole life from my kids and want to save the world again.” Despite his assertions, skepticism remains among social media users, especially in light of a recent incident where two Israeli embassy staff members were killed outside a Jewish community event in Washington, D.C.
One user highlighted the tragic circumstances, stating, “You’re conspired to kill two people who were killed last night because they were thought to be Jewish,” criticizing West for the hatred he has purportedly spread. Others echoed similar sentiments, pointing out that his claims of change seem repetitive and insincere.
Comments on social media varied; one pointed out his past actions that contradict his current words, while another stated that even if he’s honest, he has contributed to the spread of anti-Semitism. Some users advised him to seek help, describing his talent as overshadowed by his actions.
Questions lingered about the sincerity of his recent claims, with some critics remarking, “Can I release a song called Heil Hitler and then ‘end’ it with anti-Semitism?” They noted the disconnect between his previous releases and his current statements.
Before this backlash, West had released a music video featuring lyrics that sparked outrage, and earlier this month, he offered controversial merchandise related to his fashion brand. This controversy seemed to escalate following his erratic behavior that began in late 2022, leading to the loss of sponsorships from major brands like Adidas and Balenciaga.
