Trump is not taking any action to tackle antisemitism at Harvard.

Trump’s Approach to International Students Critiqued

During a segment on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” Representative Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) expressed concerns about President Donald Trump’s handling of issues related to Harvard University and anti-Semitism. He described Trump’s actions as displaying a certain “indifference.”

Cooper posed a question regarding the White House’s stance that registration for international students is a privilege rather than a right.

In response, Auchincloss remarked, “It seems like Trump is behaving like an unhinged anti-Israel protestor—someone he’s purportedly against. His approach is theatrical, lacking logic, and ultimately cruel. He hasn’t really addressed anti-Semitism on college campuses at all.”

When asked about the possible consequences of removing international students, Auchincloss pointed out that nearly 27% of the student body at universities this year consists of foreign students. He noted that this would impact not only educational institutions but also American businesses.

Auchincloss concluded, “The influx of highly skilled immigrants is undoubtedly an economic advantage for our universities, Anderson.”
