JPMorgan Insights on Take-Two Interactive and Other Stocks
JPMorgan recently added Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, to its list of top stock picks as of June. This analyst focus list, which is updated monthly, highlights JPMorgan’s best ideas concerning growth, income, and value, alongside short investment strategies. This particular update included one new addition and one removal, reflecting investors’ ongoing concerns regarding tariffs and US trade policy.
As the month began, tensions between the US and China heightened after Beijing responded to accusations from Trump about violating a trade agreement. Consequently, stocks opened lower, which has put some pressure on riskier assets following a strong performance in May. Notably, Take-Two’s stock has surged by over 22% this year, fueled by anticipation for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, one of its flagship franchises. The company unveiled the first trailer for GTA VI in 2023, though it postponed the game’s launch from fall 2025 to May 2026, creating some mixed feelings among fans.
Analyst Carpenter pointed out that upcoming catalysts for Take-Two might include additional game trailers, pre-orders, and gameplay announcements. There’s a general optimism among analysts regarding Take-Two; about 86% of them, according to Factset, have rated its shares as a buy. The consensus price target suggests there’s still a potential upside of around 12%.
Other notable names on JPMorgan’s list remain, including streaming powerhouse Netflix, whose stock has jumped more than 35% this year. The firm recognizes Netflix as a leader in streaming and commends its advertising strategy. Analyst Douglas Ammus recently noted that Netflix is moving towards becoming “global television,” and roughly 70% of analysts surveyed by FactSet have a buy rating on Netflix shares, despite a consensus price target indicating a slight downside of about 3%.
Meanwhile, other significant picks continuing on the JPMorgan list include Boeing and McDonald’s, both of which are classified as overweight.
