Three individuals face charges in connection with a shooting and crash in Florida attributed to road rage. It all unfolded around 3:20 PM on a Monday when the driver of a Jeep Compass was waiting to make a left turn from a parking lot. That’s when the driver of a Jeep Sedan, Anthony Williams, turned left in front of them. According to Bradenton Police, they later posted on Facebook, the Jeep driver, Raesean Poole, confronted Williams about not using his turn signals.
In the heat of the moment, Williams and his teenage passenger exited their Buick, with Williams allegedly brandishing a gun during the exchange. Eyewitness video captured shows repeated attempts by Poole to drive away, although he kept stopping to engage with Williams.
During what authorities described as “the final confrontation,” Poole accelerated his Jeep toward Williams, ultimately hitting him with the vehicle, as well as with stop signs and other obstacles.
A 16-year-old passenger in the Buick, Manuel Villatro, reportedly retrieved the gun and fired at Poole’s Jeep. Shortly after, all three individuals involved were taken into police custody.
In this incident, Poole, the 33-year-old Jeep driver, faces a charge of battery resulting from the altercation. Williams, aged 20, did not suffer serious injuries, and charges against him are still pending. Villatro was also charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
