Terrorist Attack in Boulder: A Message Regarding Civilization

A recent terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado has resulted in injuries to eight individuals and provoked discussions about the state of Western civilization.

Steve Deace, a host on BlazeTV, comments that such images reflect the current societal atmosphere. “When we talk about this topic on our show, it really comes down to the worldview we hold; that shapes our destiny,” Deace states.

“This should be seen as a gravestone for our civilization,” he adds.

Deace further analyzes the images, suggesting the symbolism of the flag above the government building indicates a shift in ruling ideologies. “Something always holds power, and something is invariably worshiped,” he says.

He mentions the historical context of symbols being raised after conquest. “It’s reminiscent of ancient times when victors display flags after subjugating a people.”

While he critiques what he perceives as oppression from questionable terrorist groups, he remarks that the United States seems to tolerate such ideologies. “This is why it happens here—we allow it,” Deace asserts. Reflecting on his career in broadcasting, he expresses that these images starkly represent how the past generation has become complacent. “I can’t recall seeing visuals that better illustrate this than these,” he reflects.

“This sort of thing wouldn’t have been accepted before,” he concludes, leaving the conversation open-ended as he considers societal change and its implications.
