Michelle Beadle let go from SiriusXM following incident with Stephen A. Smith

Michelle Beadle’s time at SiriusXM has come to an end.

On Thursday, the network officially announced their separation from Beadle and her co-host Cody Decker. This change follows reports that their time slots will be replaced by a show hosted by the well-known ESPN anchor Stephen A. Smith, which has left Beadle feeling quite taken aback.

In a post on social media, she expressed her gratitude to callers for their support during her final days on air. She mentioned how uncommon it is to get such positive send-offs, humorously remarking that typically security might be escorting someone to the exit instead. “You guys rule,” she added, directing her thanks to her listeners.

The decision from SiriusXM was indeed surprising and, during her last show, Beadle did not hold back her feelings. She welcomed listeners with a note of sarcasm, responding to Decker’s outcry about “dismissal” in the background. “All I ask is to be treated with respect,” she asserted while pressuring through with the show out of contractual obligation.

Despite maintaining some level of composure while broadcasting, Beadle displayed signs of frustration when discussing the situation afterward, mentioning to a sports outlet that it serves as a stark reminder of how fragile one’s position can be in the industry.

During an interview, she reflected on her longstanding issues with Stephen A. Smith’s show, calling out comments he made in the past that she found distasteful. “I don’t respect him,” Beadle stated frankly, criticizing his commentary style and noting areas where she believed he has consistently been misguided.

In her concluding remarks, she conveyed her disdain for his approach, emphasizing that weak reasoning often leads nowhere productive. “I’m just not a fan,” she concluded, leaving her position clear.
