Trump declines to engage with Musk: 'Elon's completely off track'

Trump Dismisses Musk’s Proposals and Comments on Their Recent Tensions

President Donald Trump expressed disinterest in engaging with Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, stating in a recent interview, “Elon has lost it completely.” He also mentioned that he isn’t concerned about Musk’s suggestion of creating a new political party, emphasizing strong Republican support in Congress.

This exchange of words comes amid discussions about social media, with tensions rising after Musk made some comments about Trump. Recently, a senior White House correspondent reported that the relation between them seems strained.

A senior official from the White House indicated that a conversation between Trump and Musk isn’t expected to happen anytime soon. However, there’s a possibility that staff from the Trump administration might reach out to Musk.

Musk made headlines recently by claiming that Trump was connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s files, which added fuel to their ongoing feud. On Thursday, Trump criticized Musk, mentioning that his patience is wearing thin and referenced taking away Musk’s electric vehicle mission.

This back-and-forth intensified after Musk labeled a major bill approved by Trump as “disgusting” and “hateful,” contrary to Trump’s optimistic portrayal of it as a significant legislative achievement.

In a more general reflection, Trump stated, “I don’t care if Elon opposes me, but he should have done that a few months ago,” reacting to Musk’s recent comments about the Truth Society. He defended the bill’s record-breaking $1.6 trillion tax cut, which he claimed would significantly benefit taxpayers if successful.
