Republicans stand by Trump and Musk during their significant dispute

A significant and dramatic exchange unfolded on social media on Thursday as President Donald Trump and Elon Musk aired their grievances publicly after months of collaboration aimed at minimizing government waste.

House Republicans rallied behind Trump, expressing their support for Musk as they navigated the fallout with Fox News Digital.

“I completely support President Trump,” said one representative. “I don’t think he deserved to be ousted. Do you really believe he was on Jeffrey Epstein’s Island? I doubt it.”

While defending Trump, Luna acknowledged that Musk isn’t a “bad person,” highlighting that both men have made substantial contributions to the Republican Party.

Representative Chip Roy from Texas commented, “I guarantee he crossed the line with what he said regarding the U.S. seating president today.” This remark followed Musk’s controversial claims about Trump.

Nevertheless, Roy, alongside Luna, defended Musk’s contributions to enhancing government efficiency. “The important thing is that we have work ahead of us. Elon has discussed identified cuts, and I have my reservations about the need for further cuts. But everyone should keep it civil,” Roy noted.

Another representative praised Trump during an address. “The situation can be salvaged, but you have two strong personalities,” Norman remarked about Trump and Musk.

Representative Tim Burchett from Tennessee dismissed the social media skirmish, stating, “They’re like the two largest dogs in the yard. They’re bound to clash.”

“Eventually, it will calm down,” added Burgess Owens from Utah.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt referenced Musk’s frustrations regarding Trump’s spending bill, which focuses on tax credits beneficial to workers and the middle class, arguing that it fails to provide sufficient advantages for Musk and his company.

“This is regrettable. Elon is upset with our significant bill because it doesn’t encompass the changes he wanted. The President is concentrating on getting this landmark legislation passed to make our country great again,” Leavitt stated.

Musk criticized the bill on social media, saying, “Sorry, I can’t take this anymore. This enormous and absurd spending bill filled with unnecessary items is appalling. I’m embarrassed by those who voted for it. You were wrong.”
