Rick Flair Battles Skin Cancer Again

Rick Flair, the renowned pro wrestling icon, has publicly shared that he is facing skin cancer for the first time in three years. This revelation was made in an interview recently, after Flair had previously denied a similar claim last month.

The 76-year-old wrestling star explained, “It’s been three years since I’ve dealt with skin cancer. I’ll be receiving treatment next week.” It’s a significant moment, especially considering his history with health issues.

In May, Flair addressed the rumors on social media, indicating that he was in good health at the time. “I’m sorry, people are misled by social media, but I don’t have cancer. I’m absolutely fine!” he wrote. Yet, here we are, with him preparing for treatment again. It’s almost surprising how situations can shift so quickly.

A little over a month ago, Flair also announced the dissolution of his fifth marriage to Wendy Barlow. He expressed gratitude for her support during a severe health crisis he experienced in 2017, saying, “I can’t thank you enough for standing by my side. She will not leave my side!” However, the couple found their busy schedules made continuing their partnership challenging. “I wish her good luck with her projects,” he added, reflecting a sense of respect despite their separation.

Back in 2017, Flair was hospitalized and underwent surgery to remove a portion of his intestine. At that time, doctors indicated he was facing severe health complications, including early kidney failure and heart issues due to a history of alcohol abuse.

His journey, marked by ups and downs, continues to be a testimony to resilience and, perhaps, the unpredictability of life itself.
