FBI Deputy Director Defends ICE Agents Amid Protests

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has come forward to support immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) agents following a series of protests in the Los Angeles area.

According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials, over 800 individuals gathered to voice their discontent regarding the detention of several people, including a local union president.

The protests escalated as DHS reported that demonstrators breached a federal law enforcement building in Los Angeles, vandalizing property along the way.

Bongino addressed the situation in a post on X, stating, “The right to assembly and protest does not include a license to attack law enforcement officials, or we will not interfere with our legal immigration operations.” He emphasized that investigations into the incident are underway.

He added, “The era of chaos that controls the streets is over. There’s no third option—either follow the law or face imprisonment.”

In a subsequent post, Bongino highlighted that some protesters attempting to obstruct ICE operations had already been arrested.

“Yes, multiple arrests have already been made to block our operations. More is coming. We’re identifying more assailants through video evidence,” he stated. “You bring confusion, and we bring handcuffs. Law and order prevail.”

Bongino also called on the public to assist in identifying individuals who threw rocks at vehicles involved in law enforcement operations.

“We are currently seeking information regarding those who throw rocks at vehicles conducting important law enforcement activities. One of the assailants was wearing a helmet. I advise you to come forward voluntarily. It’s only a matter of time,” he urged.
