“Bro Code” Redefined
Elon Musk, the tech mogul, recently found himself needing to clarify some cheeky remarks made by his AI chatbot. Grok, which powers Musk’s X platform, suggested that there were screenshots from Tesla and SpaceX executives that highlighted their connection to Katie Miller, mentioning a post that claimed it was “exist and likely to have been removed.”
Musk responded firmly, stating, “No, it’s a fake [for f—’s sake]. I’ve never posted this before.” He later added a palm emoji facepalm on X, signaling his exasperation with Grok.
This misleading screenshot came to light shortly after Katie Miller joined Musk’s team as a spokesperson, having left her government role on May 30th.
After Miller commented, “We’re bringing America back,” it was reported that Musk retorted, “as I took your wife.”
Katie Miller has been married to Stephen Miller since 2020 and they share three children.
The former spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security and Vice President Mike Pence, Katie was also involved with Musk’s Office of Government Efficiency during his brief 130-day tenure as a special government employee.
Last week, Musk had a heated exchange with President Trump regarding the fiscal implications of a significant bill repeatedly defended by Stephen Miller.
At 53, Musk hasn’t backed down from controversies, although he recently re-followed Trump on the platform after a turbulent interaction.
Musk has endorsed Grok as an alternative to ChatGPT, which was co-founded by OpenAI— a company Musk initially supported before departing its board in 2018 over concerns about potential conflicts of interest.
His rivalry with OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, has been well documented, particularly following major advancements in AI technology.
Over the weekend, Musk also tweeted supportive remarks about Trump’s tough stance on anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, illustrating the complex relationship they share.
