In the last year, Jordon Hudson’s name has garnered numerous headlines due to the close scrutiny of his relationship with Bill Belichick.
However, one person close to Hudson, who has chosen to speak out, has a rather bold description for his former college cheerleader.
“I think she’s a supernova,” he mentioned in a recent interview, referring to the cosmic event characterized by a powerful explosion of stars.
“Our motto at the salon is, ‘Let’s help you use what you have to get what you want’… and maybe Jordon Hudson exemplifies that,” he added.
Hudson gained public attention in the summer of 2024 when news of his romance with 73-year-old Belichick came to light. He had also started working at Freeman’s West End Salon & Spa in Provincetown, Massachusetts, while still in high school.
Freeman, the salon owner, contends that Provincetown is known for being one of the most welcoming LGBTQ+ towns in the U.S., which has been influential in expanding Hudson’s views.
“She grew up around here and saw how different kinds of relationships function. They can work,” Freeman explained. “I think it gave her a sense of validation.”
Among Hudson’s connections, Freeman is one of the few who openly discusses the situation. Athletic reached out to several of Hudson’s friends, but many did not respond.
“She seems fine,” Freeman said about Hudson.
He recounted a moment when Hudson indicated she would be having an interview with the Washington Post and how he reassured her that he had shared positive insights about her. “I think she was happy with it,” he noted.
Hudson has been by Belichick’s side as he prepares for his inaugural season as coach of the North Carolina soccer team.
There has been considerable chatter regarding Hudson’s involvement at Chapel Hill, much of which intensified after a less-than-stellar appearance on “CBS Sunday Morning” in April.
Belichick clarified, “It’s really leaning toward a personal relationship. She has no connection to UNC football.”
With the season opener against TCU set for September 1st, attention continues to focus on Belichick and Hudson.
“Father has his quirks,” he said. “And those don’t always lead to good fortune.”
Hudson and Belichick’s paths first crossed during a flight in 2021, and they recently celebrated their four-year anniversary in February.
