Seattle Mansion Robbed, Nanny Attacked

Police responded early Saturday to a mansion in Seattle, valued at $6 million, following a reported break-in. This incident occurred in the Capitol Hill area, known for its vibrant culture and affluent residents, including rapper Macklemore.

A nanny, who was later identified as working for Macklemore, informed the officers that two men forced their way into the home shortly after the rapper’s child had been put to bed. She described how she was assaulted during the home invasion.

As per reports, the burglars managed to steal “thousands of dollars” worth of items before evacuating the premises. Macklemore, who is recognized for his hit song “Thrift Shop,” was not present at the time of the robbery.

The nanny recounted a particularly frightening experience and noted that one of the intruders seemed particularly menacing, especially after she had sprayed them with pepper spray. She shared that she felt compelled to assist him afterward in cleaning his eyes.

Once she escaped the mansion, the nanny sought help from a neighbor and quickly called 911. During the chaos, a woman’s phone call was noted as one of the suspects was present.

In a desperate bid for safety, the nanny said she bit one of the intruders before fleeing the home. She knocked on several doors at nearby houses, urgently asking for assistance while eyewitness accounts captured the scene of her distress.

Emergency services arrived shortly before 1 a.m. and found that Macklemore’s three children were still inside, thankfully unharmed. Reports indicated that a variety of items, including jewelry and shoes, were taken during the break-in.

Surveillance footage later showed the suspects fleeing the scene, and the nanny described them as dressed in all black, equipped with tactical gear but without visible weapons.

Authorities determined that the burglars accessed the mansion through a patio door. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended.

One of Macklemore’s neighbors reportedly acknowledged the nanny’s cries for help and has since expressed concern over the situation. Just last year, Macklemore stirred significant attention during a concert where he made bold statements regarding current events.
