This Saturday, an extensive military parade is set to honor both the 250th anniversary of the US Army and President Trump’s birthday. The event will showcase uniforms, weapons, and vehicles from key American conflicts, reaching all the way back to the Revolutionary War.

The Army has organized over 100 vehicles and aircraft to travel through the National Mall in Washington, DC. Highlights include the modern M1A1 Abrams Tank, the P-51 Mustang Fighter plane, and the French armored vehicle known as the American Davy Crockett, all of which have seen combat.

Alongside these historic military tools, there will be 60 troops representing each of the major American wars. Additionally, a final march will feature 400 troops who represent contemporary military engagements, according to Army organizers.

The parade coincides with Trump’s 79th birthday, and the commander-in-chief is promoting the event as a grand celebration of American military might.

Trump expressed enthusiasm, saying, “We’re going to have a great time, we’re going to have a great celebration.”
