Kai Schreiber’s Modeling Aspirations

Kai Schreiber has been gearing up for a modeling career for quite a while, aided by her famous mother, Naomi Watts.

The daughter of Watts and Liev Schreiber recently landed an interview, where she shared insights about her inspirations and her unique style. In the interview, she boldly stated, “I want to be a supermodel. Period.”

Kai mentioned that she’s practiced her runway walk in the kitchen over the years. “My mom can show you all the videos I made her film,” she said with a hint of pride.

Kai made her runway debut earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week, strutting down Valentino’s catwalk in a leopard-print mini dress complete with a feather collar and lace swim cap. Shortly after, she appeared in a campaign for Italian fashion brands, marking her first significant role in the industry.

Support for her career has come from both of her parents. Liev, in particular, defended her against those who labeled her a “Nepo Baby.” He posed a rhetorical question, “What if you’re a professional actor and your children want to enter this field? Are they just repeating your choices?”

Reflecting on her journey, Kai shared her desire to emulate icons like Marilyn Monroe, stating, “I always wanted to grow up like Marilyn and be a beautiful, influential woman.” She also expressed admiration for the older generation of trans individuals, citing a range of role models from supermodel Alex Consani to “Euphoria” star Hunter Schafer.

“It’s crucial to maintain a strong community in fashion, especially when facing adversity,” Kai remarked, emphasizing the importance of support among peers.

When discussing her personal style, she described it as casual but chic. “Really, it’s basic most days, but in a refined way,” she explained, mentioning her fondness for low-rise jeans and cardigans. Kai believes that personal expression in fashion is vital, adding, “If everyone wore the same thing, fashion would lose its essence.”
