Trump Claims Farmers Are Suffering Due to Immigration Enforcement

Trump’s Executive Order on Deportation Impacting Farmers

On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced an executive order concerning the deportation of long-term undocumented workers from farms and hotels. He claimed that his “very aggressive immigration policies” have negatively affected farmers.

In a statement shared on a social media platform, Trump emphasized that the goal of deportation is to remove criminals from the U.S. but noted that this has resulted in the expulsion of “very good, long hours workers” who are essential and difficult to replace.

He further explained that the void left by these workers has been filled by individuals he described as criminals, suggesting this trend began under the Biden administration.

“This isn’t good. We have to protect the farmers,” Trump stated in his post.

He concluded by promising that “change is coming!”

During a bill signing ceremony in California, following his electric vehicle initiative, Trump elaborated on his plans. He insisted that a new order would be issued soon and highlighted the necessity for “common sense” in immigration enforcement.

Trump specified that enforcement should target criminals rather than workers who have contributed for decades, and he expressed particular concern for the leisure industry.

He reinforced his intention to issue an executive order soon.

Trump has remarked that farmers are “severely hurt” by deportations. “You go to the farm, you look, people have been there for 20 or 25 years, they do great work, farm owners love them. Are we really supposed to abandon them?”

In another statement, Trump characterized his efforts as a “historic mission” for what he claims is the largest deportation program in U.S. history. He referred to a “tsunami of illegals,” addressing many as “rapists, murderers, terrorists” who he says have taken American jobs and abused welfare systems, transforming communities like Springfield, Ohio into less desirable places.

Trump concluded by asserting that anyone who assaults immigration agents will face severe consequences. This comment seemed to reference unrest that began in Los Angeles and has spread nationwide.

This renewed focus on individuals not contributing to the U.S. economy aligns with the introduction of the $5 million Trump Visa card, which he has recently launched.

Trump claimed that over 15,000 potential immigrants are already on the waitlist and stressed that he has “raised $75 billion to balance the budget and strengthen America.”

“This is the opportunity to live in the United States, which has the largest economy in the world,” he added.
