Suspected Manifesto of Political Assassin Reveals Targeted Minnesota Lawmakers

The suspected “manifesto” attributed to Vance Bolter, a political assailant from Minnesota, mentions a range of lawmakers and abortion providers he may have targeted.

This list includes high-profile figures such as Senator Amy Klobuchar, Representative Ilhan Omar, and Governor Tim Walz. Reports indicate that the documents are fragmented in various sections.

Security footage has captured the suspect wearing a disturbing Halloween mask before ambushing legislators at their homes. This alarming act has drawn considerable concern from officials.

In addition to Klobuchar, the document names other state politicians including Senators Tina Smith and Representative Kelly Morrison. Such revelations provide investigators with a glimpse into Bolter’s troubled mindset, raising fears about the safety of those named.

Sources revealed that Klobuchar and members of the Minnesota Democratic Farmer-Labor Party, along with unidentified abortion providers, were mentioned. Both Smith and Morrison confirmed that their names appear in the manifesto.

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Kristen Welker inquired if Klobuchar was aware of her inclusion on the list. The senator described Bolter as a significant threat, emphasizing that a massive manhunt is currently underway.

Smith expressed her deep concern about being potentially targeted and voiced her appreciation for increased security measures provided by local law enforcement for her and her family.

Additionally, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison confirmed that his name is also included in the list of targets. The full roster reportedly contains up to 70 names, encompassing Lt. Col. Peggy Flanagan and numerous members of the state’s legislature.

As investigations develop, it remains unclear whether former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and state Senator John Hoffman were both separately targeted during incidents involving their spouses earlier on Saturday.

Authorities continue to search for Bolter, narrowing their efforts to Sibley County, located about 50 miles southwest of Minneapolis. They believe his cowboy hat and a car linked to him may provide crucial leads.

In related incidents, Bolter is suspected of injuring Hoffman and his wife while also targeting Hortman and her husband in their homes. Officials have classified these acts as “targeted political violence,” though Bolter’s full motives remain unclear.
