Capital One launches a stylish new lounge at JFK featuring a cheesemonger, champagne at sunset, and artisanal sodas.

Travelers at JFK are in for a treat with the new Capital One Lounge, which opens at Terminal 4 this Thursday. Spanning 13,500 square feet, this space aims to offer a luxurious experience reminiscent of Manhattan’s vibrant culinary scene and 24/7 amenities.

Jen Schulich, the vice president of Capital One Travel, Lounge and Retail Experience, mentioned that the design is heavily inspired by New York itself. With elements like a cheesemonger station and a bodega-styled deli, as well as a parent’s area that includes private toilets and high-speed Wi-Fi, there’s a lot to explore.

Notably, a multi-tap system caters to those seeking craft sodas and flavored water, while guests can sip complimentary champagne at sunset. Afternoon tea is also on the menu, complete with pastries, and you’ll find various culinary offerings inspired by local tastes throughout the day.

The lounge also boasts La Colombe cold brew on tap, along with a selection of unique bagels and custom cheese boards, all with views of the tarmac. A stunning glass sculpture by Shakaff hangs above, symbolizing Manhattan’s lively energy.

Located on the lower level of Terminal 4’s Retail Hall, the lounge reflects New York’s cultural landscape. Local artists have contributed more than 40 pieces of art inspired by the city’s greenery, which enhances the lounge’s overall ambiance.

Curated with local vendors, the food choices include warm breakfast sandwiches, seasonal salads, and individual plated dishes like braised pork shanks. Signature cocktails, local craft beers, and hand-selected wines are available at the full-service bar.

The lounge also features convenient amenities such as daily coffee rituals and luxury shower suites. Every seat comes with power outlets and USB-C ports, and real-time flight information is readily displayed.

This space operates 24/7, and holders of Capital One’s Venture X cards can enjoy complimentary access for themselves and two guests, though extra guests incur a $45 fee. For holders of Venture and Spark Miles cards, entry is available for a $45 fee. Non-cardholders can enter for $90, while children under 2 are free; those under 17 pay $25 with a cardholder.

The Capital One Lounge at JFK marks the fifth location for the company in a nationwide expansion that includes lounges in cities like Dallas and Denver. Excitingly, it precedes the launch of Capital One Landing, a new concept expected to open in Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport, although further details remain under wraps.
