Shocking video reveals a disturbing incident that occurred on Monday, where a man attacked a courtroom officer with a knife in Manhattan, leaving visible cuts on his neck and face.
The suspect, 37-year-old Jonathan Wall from Queens, approached the metal detector at Manhattan Crown Court around 9:30 AM but then suddenly launched an attack on court officials, as shown in footage obtained by the Post.
Afterward, Wall turned on a second officer, stabbing him multiple times before he was eventually tackled near the court entrance.
In the video, other officers are seen bringing the seemingly indifferent assailant to the ground and restraining him with handcuffs.
According to law enforcement, the suspect had not been scheduled for a hearing at the courthouse, and the motive behind his attack remains unclear.
A spokesperson for the state court office commented on the incident, describing it as a targeted assault on an officer in uniform, which prompted immediate action from several judges who rushed to the scene to subdue Wall and disarm him.
Wall has a lengthy history, with 18 prior arrests and three unresolved criminal cases. He has reportedly been a recurring nuisance in courts, often troubling judges, according to the source.
The officer who was injured during the attack has been hospitalized but is currently in stable condition.
