Kim Turnbull, Romeo Beckham’s former girlfriend, has finally addressed the speculation surrounding their breakup.
On June 16, she took to social media to clarify things, stating her discomfort with the swirling rumors about her past relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, Romeo’s older brother.
Turnbull noted, “I’ve avoided discussing this to prevent fueling gossip, but I feel the need to move on now,” sharing her thoughts on Instagram Stories.
In her post, she expressed frustration, saying, “I’m not ashamed to be subjected to harassment based on false narratives.” She aimed to dispel the rumors about a romantic link with Brooklyn, though she never mentioned him directly.
“I’ve never had any romantic involvement with him at any point,” she clarified, adding that their acquaintance was limited to a friendship back in school.
Kim, 24, and Romeo, 22, ended their relationship in May after dating for seven months. Their romance was speculated to have contributed to a long-standing rift within the Beckham family, particularly with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz.
Reports indicated that Brooklyn and Peltz, 30, chose not to attend David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration due to the tension between the couples.
An insider mentioned that the pressures from the family drama were significant, stating, “Romeo and Kim decided to split because of family tensions. It was mutual.” They noted that it created an unbearable situation for the couple.
However, another source argued that their breakup had little to do with the alleged feud, insisting that David and Victoria Beckham would not agree with the notion that Nicola and Brooklyn were the cause of the split.
The insider also emphasized that both Romeo and Kim are focused on their busy careers, contributing to the decision to part ways.
Despite the breakup, David and Victoria reportedly remain optimistic that this could be a chance to mend relationships within the family, hoping for peace and reconciliation soon.
