Jim Acosta Comments on Trump’s Ex-Wife in Podcast

Former CNN correspondent Jim Acosta made headlines on Monday after humorously discussing the burial site of President Donald Trump’s late ex-wife. During his appearance on the “No Kings” Day episode of Jennifer Rubin’s podcast, Acosta referred to immigrants as those “doing jobs Americans don’t want to do,” while critiquing Trump’s stance on immigration.

In a clip that circulated widely, Acosta posed a pointed question regarding the treatment of immigrants, questioning the absence of ICE raids at Trump’s golf courses, particularly in Virginia. “Where is the ICE attack at Trump’s facility?” he asked, adding a sarcastic remark about calling ICE to those locations.

As the conversation unfolded, Acosta speculated about the irony of Trump being married to immigrants and joked about the burial of Ivana Trump, who is interred at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. “How many immigrants is he married to? He has one buried on a golf course in New Jersey!” he quipped, prompting laughter from Rubin and fellow journalist April Ryan.

Ivana Trump, who passed away in 2022, is the mother of Trump’s three eldest children. Acosta continued his commentary with a lighthearted jab, stating, “Immigrants are always doing jobs that Americans don’t want to do!”

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt responded sharply to Acosta’s remarks, labeling him as “a dishonorable person.” Since leaving CNN earlier this year, Acosta has remained a vocal critic of Trump, adopting an independent journalist role while keeping his strong left-leaning views.
