Trump’s Immigration Approval Surges in Recent Poll
A recent Harvard Harris poll shows President Donald Trump experiencing a notable rise in approval regarding immigration issues. This June survey lists several key concerns, with Trump earning a 44% approval rating for economic matters, while former President Joe Biden’s approval was recorded at 37% earlier this year.
In terms of diplomatic and government control issues, Trump also holds a 45% approval rating in both areas. However, his highest approval—49%—is regarding immigration. For context, Biden had only 34% approval on this topic in January.
Immigration appears to be a significant concern for many Americans, with 32% indicating it as their top issue, an increase of five points from a prior poll.
When respondents were asked about their most pressing personal issues, 39% pointed to inflation, while 14% highlighted immigration.
Moreover, Trump’s stance on deporting illegal immigrants who commit crimes has considerable backing, with 80% approval overall. Support spans across parties, with 88% of Republicans, 80% of independents, and 72% of Democrats in favor of the policy.
The survey, conducted between June 11th and 12th, 2025, included 2,097 registered voters and has a margin of error of 2.2%. Trump is advocating for expanded deportation initiatives.
He stated, “This notice of truth has been ordered by the ICE Officer to achieve the significant goal of implementing the largest deportation program in history.”
Trump elaborated on the issue, saying, “These cities are centers of Democratic power, using illegal aliens to increase their voter base, undermining elections, fostering welfare dependency, and taking away fair wages from hardworking Americans.”
His comments align with recent ICE operations in Los Angeles, where illegal aliens with serious charges—including child abuse, second-degree murder, sexual assault, and drug distribution—were arrested as part of a concerned law enforcement effort.
