Bubba Ray Dudley Returns for New Season of WWE Show

Wrestling icon Bubba Ray Dudley is back for the second season of “WWE Legends & Future Greats,” a competition where fresh talent is vying for an NXT contract. According to Dudley, this season will feature some familiar faces from the first season alongside newcomers.

“I think fans can expect the same intensity as in season one,” Dudley mentioned. He feels that many of the returning competitors have come to understand the significance of the show and the level of competition involved.

Dudley acknowledged the impression Jaspert Roy made on the NXT roster, particularly when he took on NXT champion Oba Femi. “Although Jaspert didn’t win, he surely got the attention of wrestling enthusiasts worldwide,” Dudley said. “He really showed his skills, which, let’s be honest, caught a lot of eyes.” This kind of performance seems to indicate that participants are taking the competition more seriously this time around.

Speaking of competitors, Zena Sterling, one of Dudley’s trainees from Season 1, is also in the mix for Season 2. She had previously won an NXT contract but faced setbacks due to injury. Dudley is hopeful for her success this time.

As he looks ahead, Dudley emphasized the importance of WWE NXT recognizing talent like Zena’s. “I’m not just mentioning Zena because she’s in my camp; she’s really making waves,” he reflected. While Tyra May Steele may have won last season’s contract, Dudley noted that Zena was the one everyone talked about, largely thanks to her savvy use of social media to boost her presence.

Dudley expressed pride in guiding the next generation of wrestling stars, hopeful that the 16 competitors this season will put on a strong showing for a WWE contract.

“WWE Legends & Future Greats” season 2 is set to premiere on A&E this Sunday at 10 PM.
