Israel Claims Success Against Iranian Forces

On Thursday, Eial Zamir, chief of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), informed military intelligence that Israel has effectively altered Iran’s notorious “fire circle” strategy, which aimed to encircle and dismantle Israel through a network of terrorist groups and antagonistic nations.

The “Wind of Fire” concept had reached a high point on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack on Israel from Gaza. At that moment, Israel found itself surrounded by Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as other hostile actors like Hezbollah from Lebanon, the Houthis from Yemen, the Syrian regime, and Shiite militias in Iraq—all supported by Iran.

However, after countering Hamas’s assault, Israel began to systematically address each of these threats. Just last Friday, the IDF directly engaged with Iranian forces, targeting military leaders, missile sites, and nuclear installations.

The IDF released a statement reflecting Zamir’s comments, highlighting the remarkable capabilities of the intelligence community. He noted that the dedication of the citizens and the military has garnered admiration worldwide, acknowledging their crucial role in recent successes. Zamir thanked the team for what he termed a historical contribution to changing the dynamics of the Middle East, emphasizing that Israel is now redirecting the threat that was once aimed at them back towards Iran. He commended Major General Salmon Binder and the commanders for their exemplary leadership and professionalism, which enable precise operations even at considerable distances.

In the early stages of the conflict, Israel utilized extensive intelligence on Iran to dismantle its military leadership and air defense systems, thereby surprising the Iranian regime. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has been active in Iranian airspace, continuously targeting Iranian personnel and state facilities. Meanwhile, the IDF is reportedly pursuing an escaping military leader from Iran.
