Tragic Death of a High-End Real Estate Agent
On Thursday afternoon, a well-known real estate agent, Sara Black, who gained fame from the Netflix series “Million Dollar Beach House,” was reportedly killed in a hit-and-run incident in the Hamptons. Black, 40, was discovered unconscious on Hampton Bays Road by police before 3 PM.
Southampton Town Police and the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit are currently investigating the scene. As of now, police have not yet spoken to any witnesses and lack details about the vehicle involved in the incident.
Black had previously appeared on the popular Netflix reality show, which showcased the competitive world of luxury real estate in the Hamptons. The show depicted a group of eager agents trying to make significant sales in a stunning beachside setting.
Before leaving Nest Seekers International, a luxury real estate agency, over a year ago, she was well-regarded in her field. Geoff Gifkins, the Hamptons Regional Manager at Nest Seekers, expressed condolences, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends. This is an enormous loss for her loved ones.”
Paulette Corsair, a close family friend and fellow real estate agent, reflected on Black’s impact, noting her caring nature and dedication to fundraising efforts in New York City. “She was genuinely a great person who cared for others,” Corsair shared. “Her friends and family loved her dearly.”
In a past interview, Black mentioned her family’s background in commercial construction and expressed how her early experiences sparked her interest in real estate. “I’ve always found real estate projects intriguing, but it was managing a summer property that made me want to become a broker,” she said.
Before the show’s premiere, Black described “Million Dollar Beach House” as a window into the lives of prominent figures amid the idyllic backdrop of the Hamptons. She emphasized the allure of witnessing luxurious properties and the vibrant summer life that accompanies them.
