Body of 6-Year-Old Boy Found in Texas

The body discovered in a Texas residence has been identified as that of a 6-year-old boy, Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, who authorities suspect was murdered by his mother, noted for her fixation on death.

The decomposing remains were found on Thursday at a home in the Dallas suburb of Everman, as confirmed by the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office on Friday.

Noel, who appeared malnourished, was last seen in October 2022, shortly after the arrival of his twin brother.

During a welfare check in March 2023, his mother, Cindy Rodríguez Singh, unrealistically claimed that Noel was in Mexico with his biological father or being sold at a local market.

Hours later, she reportedly fled to India with her husband and six other children, prompting her addition to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list.

Investigators believe her husband may have stolen $10,000 and left behind her body wrapped in a carpet.

Rodríguez-Singh was indicted on capital murder charges in Tarrant County in October 2023, but authorities took nearly two years to find and extradite her from India.

“Here at the District Attorney’s Office, we will continue to seek justice for Noel. We owe it to him and the residents of Tarrant County,” stated Attorney Phil Sorrells.

Detectives had previously mentioned that Rodríguez-Singh labeled her son, who had special needs, as “evil” and “possessed” by the devil, using this belief to rationalize his abuse and neglect.

Born prematurely, Noel faced several developmental challenges and lived in poor conditions with his mother and siblings in the home where his body was found.

Inside the rundown cabin, police uncovered an altar dedicated to Santa Muerte, a figure associated with death often linked to drug cartels.

Sorrells indicated that Rodríguez-Singh was set to stand trial, despite being declared incompetent in April, with expectations that she would regain competency in the near future.
