Chicken Rescued from Iowa Buffalo Wild Wings
A rather whimsical chicken was spotted wandering near the entrance of an Iowa Buffalo Wild Wings, drawing the attention of animal rescue organizations.
The “poor, confused” bird was saved by the Iowa Animal Rescue League at their Des Moines location of the popular sports bar-themed restaurant.
The rescue was prompted by a concerned individual who reported the chicken’s unusual presence. Fortunately, it managed to avoid becoming a part of the restaurant’s signature sauces, an amusing thought that might make anyone chuckle.
This chicken is now safe and receiving proper care. In a light-hearted update from the rescue group on social media, they mentioned the officer who had to chase the bird around the building before finally catching it.
While this particular chicken isn’t available for adoption, the Animal Rescue League has taken this opportunity to highlight their adoption programs for chickens. The group emphasized that many other birds are in need of homes.
Interestingly, one member suggested the chicken be named “Choses,” a playful fusion of “chicken” and “Moses.”
It’s worth noting that this chicken narrowly avoided becoming part of the staggering 2 billion chickens sold annually by Buffalo Wild Wings, which translates to an eye-popping 2,420,260 chickens sold each day just to satisfy their wing-loving customers. Life takes unexpected turns, doesn’t it?
