WNBA All-Star Fan Voting Update
Kate Linklark, a star player for the Indiana Fever and last season’s WNBA Rookie of the Year, is leading in the fan voting for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, according to the league’s announcement on Friday. She topped all players with 515,993 votes. Fellow Fever teammates Aliya Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, and Lexi Hull secured third, seventh, and ninth places, respectively.
Nafesa Collier, who was named the 2024 WNBA defensive player of the year, is currently in second place with 484,758 votes.
In a recent post on social media, the Fever celebrated having four players in the top ten, emphasizing the strength of their roster as they urged fans to keep voting.
Fan votes carry significant weight, making up half of the total vote count, while players and media panels each contribute 25%. The players receiving the most fan votes will also earn the title of All-Star Captain. Voting will close on June 28th.
Linklark’s lead comes just ahead of the All-Star Game, which the Fever will host on July 19 at 8:30 PM at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis.
Despite being sidelined for three weeks due to a quad injury, Caitlin Clark has been performing exceptionally, averaging a career-high 19.9 points and 8.7 assists per game. Upon returning recently, she scored a season-high 32 points in a game, marking her impact on the court. However, the New York Liberty handed her team a loss shortly thereafter.
In another match, Clark managed to score 20 points, along with six assists, contributing to a victory over the Connecticut Sun.
In their recent bout against the Golden State Valkyries, however, Clark was unable to maintain her momentum as the Valkyries triumphed with an 88-77 victory.
