Amber Alert for Missing Teens in Idaho

Authorities in Idaho have issued an amber alert for two missing teenagers who may be traveling to Utah due to “religious beliefs.” The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the teens as 13-year-old Allen Laland Fisher and 15-year-old Rachel Leray Fisher, both affiliated with the fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FDLS). They reportedly left Montebello, Idaho, and may have returned to Trenton, Utah, where they had lived previously.

Interestingly, their sister, 18-year-old Erintra Dee Fisher, was reported missing earlier this year on January 1. Investigators suspect the younger children left willingly to reunite with their sister for religious reasons.

In a recent statement, the sheriff’s office mentioned that detectives had struggled to uncover any solid evidence regarding the vehicle the teens might have used to leave.

After the disappearance, the sheriff’s office noted that the initially reported vehicle had not actually gone to Idaho. They’ve narrowed their investigation to the timeframe of June 22, specifically noting that the kids were unaccounted for between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. during that day.

The sheriff’s office is currently uncertain if the teens have traveled to a more distant area or if they’re still close by. Meanwhile, their mother, Elizabeth Round, has shared her experience, mentioning her past in a polygamous marriage and her departure from the FLDS church in 2020. She emphasized her determination to regain custody of her children, stating, “They consider me to be an apostate right now.” Round had to navigate the courts to secure their custody and has expressed determination to bring them back.

Documents obtained reveal that Round has been awarded custody of her children, including Allen, Rachel, and Erintra.

Authorities also believe that Erintra may play a role in bringing her siblings back to Utah, although this information hasn’t been confirmed yet. “They were just brainwashed and opposed to me,” Round remarked, reflecting the complexities of their situation.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the missing children to reach out to their dispatch center at 208-745-9210 Option 7.
