Carson Bransteen Set for Wimbledon Debut
With style and grace, Carson Bransteen, a 24-year-old tennis player, is ready to make her mark at Wimbledon. On Monday, she’ll face off against top-seed Aryna Sabalenka, marking her first appearance at the prestigious All-England Club.
Currently ranked 197th in the world, Bransteen has begun to carve out her niche in professional tennis. Her impressive college career at Texas A&M has garnered attention, and she has ingeniously funded her aspirations through modeling.
Describing her modeling as “a cool little side hustle,” Bransteen explained it helps cover her expenses on the WTA tour without burdening her parents financially. “I love being in front of the camera—it’s fun, and I enjoy fashion. This was a way for me to fund my trips on my own,” she noted in a recent interview.
Bransteen is signed with two agencies, and her social media presence showcases the duality of her life as both a tennis player and a model. Despite facing injuries during her time at Texas A&M, she helped lead her team to a national championship in 2024.
Off the court, she studied subjects like society, ethics, and law, even working with lawyers for a year. “Hiding family law from my lawyer was quite emotional,” she shared, highlighting her diverse experiences.
Looking ahead, Bransteen hopes to return to law school after her tennis career, with aspirations of starting a family. For now, though, her focus is on the potential upset that awaits her at Wimbledon. After demonstrating strong confidence in her ability, she defeated top-seed Lois Boisson in qualifying rounds, emphasizing, “Maybe not everyone knows me, but I believe anyone can be beaten. I know my game can match up against anyone.”
