LeBron James Training at Cavs Facility Sparks Speculation
There’s been a buzz surrounding LeBron James’ future, especially after he trained at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ facility. It’s interesting, right? James has opted into his player options for the 2025-26 season, but as of now, some expect rumors about his retirement or a potential trade to surface by season’s end.
Interestingly, during a recent conversation, it was noted that James has been training at the Cavs’ practice facility. He even took a moment to snap a photo with Denver Jones, who signed with the team’s Summer League roster while he was there.
In response to the speculation, James downplayed the significance of his training at the facility, remarking that he practices there “every summer since it was built.” He jokingly added, “I still live here and train every summer. I’ve bored a bored guy! Get a plate of food somewhere and enjoy the 4th of July!”
James, originally from nearby Akron, was drafted by the Cavs in 2003 and played with them until 2010. He then spent four seasons with the Miami Heat before returning to the Cavs in 2014. After another stint in Cleveland, he relocated to Los Angeles before the 2018-19 season and has been a Laker since.
Aside from his basketball career, James has also opened the “I Promise” school in Akron and established “Springhill Entertainment,” named after his childhood neighborhood.
With his recent player option, James is gearing up for his 23rd NBA season, which, if I’m not mistaken, would be a new record. And speaking of records, back in 2016, he led the Cavaliers to the city’s first professional sports championship in 52 years, completing a remarkable 3-1 comeback against the Golden State Warriors, who had set a regular-season record of 73-9.
