Country Music Star Pat Green Faces Personal Tragedy
Pat Green, the country music artist, shared that some of his family members are among the casualties of devastating floods in central Texas, which have claimed over 100 lives.
In an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, Green expressed his sorrow, requesting privacy during this challenging time. “During the horrific floods that struck central Texas this past weekend, my family, like many others, endured heartbreaking losses,” he noted. “We’re grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been devastated by this tragedy.”
His wife, Kori, later revealed the name of a missing family member, adding to the family’s distress.
“We are extremely thankful for the outpouring of love and concern,” she stated. “Pat’s brother John, his wife, Julia, and their two children have been lost in the flood in Kerrville. We await anxiously for any news about them.”
As of Wednesday, reports indicate that at least 111 people have died from the floods, with another 170 individuals unaccounted for. Rescue and recovery teams continue their efforts amid rising casualty numbers.
Green, recognized for his popular song “Wave on Wave,” concluded his message by reiterating the need for privacy. “Now we ask for space as we begin to process our grief, support one another, and figure out what happens next for our family. We truly appreciate all the love, prayers, and compassion we’ve received,” he said.
In response, fans and friends have flooded social media with supportive messages, offering prayers and comforting words as they rally around the family during this trying time.
