Anthony Anderson’s Monologue Critiques Trump
Actor Anthony Anderson made an appearance as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel’s show recently and took the opportunity to criticize former President Donald Trump, comparing him to Nazis and declaring him racist.
As is typical with many guest hosts, Anderson’s monologue included familiar jabs, this time targeting the president, the media, and some voters as racists.
He discussed a new streaming service called Truth+ and mentioned it would ironically showcase titles like “Truth + Amazing Racist,” “White on Friday Night,” “Illegal Alien vs Predator,” and others featuring provocative concepts. It seemed aimed at stirring controversy and eliciting laughs.
Anderson’s humor often walks a fine line, and it’s interesting, or perhaps a bit ironic, that he makes fun of Trump in a skit called “White Ush,” while starring in a legitimate show titled “Black Ush.”
He had previously made similar jokes during another hosting gig, referring to Republicans hosting “The White People’s Choice Awards.”
The actor even played a clip of Trump using the term “skedaddle,” jokingly asking if the audience knew what it meant. He quipped, “Yes, I understand the word ‘skedaddle.’ Likewise, I would like to see him skedaddle out of the White House.”
Anderson’s final joke targeted Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” criticizing claims that it would negatively impact millions of Americans, including cutting medical care and food assistance for children.
In Anderson’s view, Trump is thriving after the bill’s passage, which he accused of giving substantial money to ICE and making healthcare inaccessible for many.
Anderson has faced scrutiny in the past for remarks he’s made. He previously suggested that JD Vance was selected for vice president solely due to being white and claimed black Americans are systematically blocked from achieving their dreams. He has also been vocal about alleged voter suppression experienced by the black community.
