Larsa Pippen discloses that she was in a relationship with an NBA coach who was 'very immature'

Larsa Pippen recently shared insights about her romantic life on Angela Lee’s “Lip Service” podcast. The former wife of NBA player Scottie Pippen revealed she once dated a much older NBA coach.

“I went out with a 47-year-old guy before I started dating Jeff Coby, and honestly, he was quite immature,” she disclosed, hinting at her previous relationship.

She recounted a specific moment from their breakup: “I told him, ‘I have a reason to date you,’ and he asked, ‘Why?’ I replied, ‘To show that age is just a number. I won’t date someone like you again.'” That was a bold statement, perhaps more for herself than him.

The 51-year-old star of “Real Housewives of Miami” has been with former basketball player Jeff Coby since the spring. Pippen noted her past relationships tended to be with partners who seemed hesitant about commitment, sometimes expressing their love through extravagant gifts, especially when she asked them to stop reaching out.

“If you’re 47 and still unsure about what you want, that’s concerning,” she mentioned on the podcast, hinting at some disappointment in her past experiences.

Recently, Pippen made headlines for her relationship with Marcus Jordan, the 34-year-old son of NBA legend Michael Jordan. The two began dating in January 2023 and appeared together on a popular reality show.

However, they ended their relationship last February, reportedly due to “tension” between them, as shared by sources.

Pippen and Jeff Coby were first seen together publicly in April 2025, where they shared affectionate moments, confirming their romance. Following her divorce from Scottie Pippen in December 2021, she seems to be moving forward.

In a recent conversation, Pippen indicated that she and Coby are discussing engagement rings. “He has all the qualities I really love,” she expressed, perhaps hinting at a hopeful future.
