ICE Arrests MS-13 Leader and Associates in Nebraska

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) force apprehended a prominent MS-13 leader along with some associates in Nebraska on Wednesday. This kingpin is listed among El Salvador’s “Top 100 Most Wanted,” though his identity remains undisclosed for now.

Authorities have described him as being involved in “advanced murders, serious murders, deprivation of freedom, and links to terrorist organizations,” according to a press release from ICE.

Mark Jeet Ice, a special agent in charge of the Kansas City area, emphasized that these individuals aren’t just illicit immigrants; they carry a troubling history marked by violence and fear. “We thought they could hide in America’s Heartland, but they were sadly wrong—this isn’t our first rodeo,” he added.

ICE suspects these arrests may be linked to a violent MS-13 member who reportedly allowed police to escape during a recent encounter.

ICE’s communications outlined concerns about alleged “MS-13 gang members and foreign terrorists” attempting to direct gang operations, which have included serious offenses like murder and drug trafficking.

The operation in Omaha was termed a “target enforcement action,” with local authorities noting that these two individuals pose significant threats to the community.

Both were found to be living illegally in the U.S., with investigations being carried out by ICE as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

In a statement, acting ICE director Todd M. Lyon stressed the importance of public support during such operations, cautioning against interference. “Misinformation can spread quickly, putting agents at risk,” he noted. “It’s crucial that the public understands the stakes involved.”

In a video made during the arrest, one man was visibly raising his hands after being flagged down by agents identifying themselves as members of “ATF police” and “Homeland Security Investigations.”

According to a release from ICE, the recent arrests form part of their ongoing efforts to enforce immigration laws nationwide while highlighting the serious charges against those previously convicted.
