Trump Media Launches Crypto ETF

Trump Media & Technology Group is gearing up to introduce a new Crypto ETF. This week, the company filed the “Crypto Blue Chip ETF” with the SEC.

This fund aims to include major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, among others. To give you a bit more context, the parent company of Truth Social submitted an S-1 filing on July 8, looking to get approval for this initiative.

The filing reveals it’s being sponsored by Yorkville America Digital, a Florida-based asset management firm. Interestingly, they teamed up with Trump Media back in April 2025 to create a series of crypto ETFs in collaboration with crypto.com.

This potential ETF marks another strategic move for Trump and his company as they expand their footprint in the crypto space. There’s also been talk about launching Meme Coins and stablecoins, which, I suppose, reflects a push for greater acceptance of cryptocurrencies within regulatory frameworks.

Recently, the passage of the Genius Act in June has shown increased regulatory support for crypto. For example, Federal Housing Finance Director William Plute suggested that mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac start viewing crypto as collateral when evaluating mortgage risks.

According to the filing, the ETF is expected to allocate approximately 70% to Bitcoin, 15% to Ethereum, 8% to Solana, 5% to crypto.com’s CRO, and 2% to XRP. Just to put things in perspective, Bitcoin has risen by about 18% this year and hit a record around $111,000 recently.

However, it’s worth mentioning that Trump Media’s stock took a dip on Wednesday and has faced challenges this year, especially considering the fervor surrounding the “Trump Trade” linked to the upcoming elections in 2024 and 2025.
