Amal Clooney Discusses Family Privacy

Amal Clooney is serious about her family’s privacy.

In a recent chat with Glamour, she opened up about her strict phone policies for guests at her home with George Clooney. It’s all about protecting those precious family moments, especially when the couple is often in the public eye.

“Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult,” Amal shared. “That’s also why we have so much fun at home. Now I have a phone basket that I use to collect everyone’s phones!”

Her passion for privacy is evident. “It’s important to find that balance with family and friends, where you can have safe and genuine conversations,” she noted.

As a mother of twins, Amal feels a strong need to shield her children from the media. “Being a parent makes you more aware of invasions of privacy. We try our best to limit the impact on our kids,” she explained.

Despite the challenges that come with fame, the Hollywood couple manages to juggle their family responsibilities. They recently moved to New York, particularly to focus on George’s Broadway debut.

During the opening night of “Goodnight and Good Luck,” George revealed that Amal couldn’t attend because she was at home with the kids. The twins, Alexander and Ella, keep them busy.

George expressed their children’s excitement about living in the city, telling a reporter, “They love it here. Why wouldn’t you? It’s New York City.” He mentioned that his nighttime schedule lets him spend time with them during the day, which works out well for their family life.

“Goodnight, Good Luck” is based on the 2005 film directed by George, which tells the true story of CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow’s confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy.

George proposed to Amal in April 2014, and they tied the knot five months later in Venice. They welcomed their twins in 2017. The couple has multiple residences worldwide, including a property in France, not far from the winery owned by their friend Brad Pitt.
