Bronnie James is getting updates on his girlfriend Parker Whitfield’s summer escapades.
The son of Lakers star LeBron James, who is in his second year as a guard, expressed excitement over Whitfield’s recent Instagram posts.
“My girlfriend!” exclaimed James, 20, and Whitfield responded in the comments with, “Hello Baby!”
Whitfield, the daughter of actor Dondre Whitfield and actress/TV director Sally Richardson, showcased some of her outdoor relaxation moments in a recent Instagram shot.
She captioned her post, “My summer so far.”
The couple revealed their relationship in October 2024.
A few months back, the Lakers selected James, who stands at 6-foot-3, with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, after he played just one season at USC.
James and his father made history as the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA when they took the court during a Lakers preseason game last fall.
Both are working hard, spending time playing with the South Bay Lakers, the team’s G-League affiliate.
During his time with the Lakers, he has played 27 regular-season games, averaging 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists, while his average jumped to 21.9 points in the developmental league.
James noted how grateful he feels for his father, a four-time NBA champion, guiding him through his rookie season.
“That’s a blessing,” Bronnie mentioned in May. “You learn a lot from him as a player and as a dad. It’s a unique relationship that many people don’t have, and it’s been a great experience for me.”
The NBA Summer League kicks off this Thursday, with James and the Lakers facing the Mavericks at 8 PM, where they’ll go up against the year’s top pick, Cooper Flagg.
