LiAngelo Ball and Wife Split After Three Months of Marriage
LiAngelo Ball and his wife, Rashida Nicole, have apparently decided to part ways after a short marriage of just over three months. This information comes from TMZ, which reported that Ball cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce papers.
The divorce filing, submitted on July 3, hit the headlines just days after Nicole announced her pregnancy. According to court documents, the couple tied the knot on March 24 and separated by June 15.
In a heartfelt post about her pregnancy, Nicole mentioned a whirlwind of emotions. She described her journey as a mix of gratitude and anxiety. It’s a lot to unpack, really. She expressed her hesitance about becoming a teenage mom again but showed appreciation for the support from her daughter.
Ball responded to her post with emojis, which, I guess, is his way of showing support. It’s a complicated situation, for sure.
Interestingly, Ball has two children from a previous relationship with Nikki Mudarris. Mudarris has publicly accused him of abandoning her and their kids shortly after the birth of their second child. She revealed that he informed their kids he was expecting another child with someone else.
As for Ball’s basketball career, he played for UCLA but went undrafted, unlike his brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo. While he was a part of the Charlotte Hornets’ G-League team from 2021 to 2023, he never made an appearance in an NBA game.
Earlier this year, Ball also released a song titled “Tweaker,” marking another step in his evolving career.
