Kirk Cousins has a strange method for getting haircuts

While many athletes have personal barbers stationed for their grooming, quarterback Kirk Cousins takes a more low-key route.

Cousins features in the new Netflix series, “Quarterback,” revealing that he opts for haircuts at Great Clips.

Surprisingly, unlike many younger athletes who frequently switch up their hairstyles, Cousins sticks to his routine.

This 36-year-old quarterback keeps it simple and prefers a basic fade for his haircut. It’s so straightforward that when he visits the barber, all he needs to do is show them his roster photo for them to know exactly what to do.

The choice of Great Clips is, for him, all about accessibility, especially for an athlete who’s always on the move.

“It’s tough to find a reliable barber while constantly traveling,” Cousins explained. “If the wait is under 15 minutes, you just sign up, drive over, and get seated quickly.”

This simplicity caught the eye of Great Clips management, leading to Cousins being awarded an exclusive “Hall of Fade” VIP card.

This card grants him unlimited free haircuts, but the perk extends beyond him—whenever he gets a haircut, everyone else in the shop benefits from a free trim as well.

“We’re thrilled to hear about our customers’ experiences at our Great Clips locations,” stated Lisa Hake, Vice President of Great Clips. “Learning that Kirk is a loyal fan and customer presented a unique opportunity to celebrate his enthusiasm while ensuring others can enjoy similar fantastic haircut experiences.”

With the “Hall of Fade” now in action, it’ll be interesting to see how many more will join in the future.
