DHS Arrests Five Criminal Immigrants

On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security announced the apprehension of five undocumented immigrants with serious criminal convictions, ranging from murder to child sexual abuse.

“These aren’t minor crimes. These individuals are predators and abusers who should never have been in our country,” stated Deputy Director Tricia McLaughlin.

“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, the DHS promises to restore law and order while protecting American families. If you’re here illegally and harming others, your time is limited,” she added.

Among those taken into custody was Julio Celaya Soto, a citizen of El Salvador, who is convicted of second-degree murder in Guilford County, North Carolina.

Lazaro Vladimir Martinez Argundi, from Cuba, was arrested for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials in Lansing, Michigan. Jose Angel Garcia Espino, a Mexican citizen, has previously been convicted of assaulting a household member in Texas.

ICE Arrests Continue Amid Resistance

In New York, ICE agents apprehended Miguel Angel Salmeron Granados, also from El Salvador, who was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse involving a child under 11.

Guadalupe Quebas Sotero, a native Mexican, has a long criminal history, with charges that include sexual abuse and attempted rape in Salt Lake City.

This wave of arrests occurs while ICE agents face significant backlash and legal obstacles from Democrats and city officials in mostly blue areas concerning operations targeting criminal undocumented immigrants.
