Controversy Surrounding Pam Bondy’s Management of Epstein Files
Attorney General Pam Bondy’s approach to the Epstein Files has ignited frustration among conservatives, President Donald Trump’s supporters, and some FBI officials.
The ongoing Epstein scandal has created a division between Dan Bongino, the recent deputy FBI director, and Bondy. Reports indicate that Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel have stated they might leave the Bureau if Bondy remains in her position.
As tensions grow between the FBI and Department of Justice leadership, there seems to be a clear preference for Bongino within the MAGA base. Conservative commentator Julie Kelly acknowledged the challenges Bondi faces, but emphasized that her missteps detract from the successes within the DOJ and FBI.
Charlie Kirk, founder of TPUSA, also expressed concern, saying losing Bongino would be a significant blow to the country. Similarly, Glenn Beck has urged Trump to consider keeping Bongino, emphasizing his reliability and the uncertainty Bondi has brought to the situation.
Beck referred to Bondy’s management as either a major cover-up or a series of unfortunate mistakes, urging that keeping Bongino should be a priority.
In the wake of recent upheaval, Bondy’s Epstein memos have drawn considerable attention and scrutiny. The Trump administration seems focused on damage control, especially as Bondy hasn’t received the same support as Patel and Bongino have from the former president.
Trump noted the FBI’s positive shift with Patel and Bongino at the helm, pointing out that crime management is improving. However, he has been notably less supportive of Bondi in this context.
