Assault Incident in Queens Parking Dispute

Recently, two individuals were arrested in New York City for their involvement in a physical attack on a female driver over a parking space. The incident, which featured racial slurs, occurred last week and was captured on video.

Andreea Dumitru, 45, and her daughter, Sabrina Starman, 21, faced charges after they assaulted a 21-year-old woman in Ridgewood, Queens. A post on Reddit suggests the altercation arose when the victim attempted to move a trash can that was being used to obstruct public parking.

Authorities report that the two suspects allegedly punched the victim multiple times. The victim, identified as Jada McPherson, described her frustration about coming home from work only to find the parking space blocked.

Neighbors noted that tensions over parking in the area had been brewing for some time. A Reddit user mentioned that the individuals involved regularly used trash cans and cones to reserve parking spots while they were away, sometimes for hours on end.

In a post titled “The fight over parking finally happened,” a former resident remarked that such behavior had persisted for years, leading to the conflict.

The video footage captured moments before the attack shows McPherson in her car, trying to clear the trash can from the space. A man in the background was heard yelling, “Stop touching mine!” while she expressed her frustration about having to circle the block repeatedly to find parking.

As the altercation escalated, Starman rushed at McPherson and began throwing punches. Dumitru and an unidentified man then joined in, attacking the victim as she attempted to defend herself.

Following the attack, the police apprehended Dumitru and Starman at the scene, while McPherson received medical assistance for her injuries.
