Elmo’s X Account Hacked, Posts Offensive Content

Elmo, the beloved character from “Sesame Street,” surprised many on social media after his X account was hacked on Sunday.

The account, which has over 640,000 followers, began posting several provocative and shocking messages. One of them controversially stated, “Kill all Jews.”

Among the other offensive posts was a reference to the Jeffrey Epstein documents, with a comment saying, “Release the file @RealdonaldTrump Child F—ER.” In another disturbing message, it suggested that “all Jews should die” and claimed that Donald Trump was a “Netanyahu doll.”

The hacked account appeared to engage with multiple users using similar language, but, fortunately, all these posts were eventually deleted.

A spokesperson for Sesame Workshop commented, “Elmo’s X account was compromised today by unknown hackers who posted nasty messages, including anti-Semitic and racist posts. We are working to regain full control of our account.”

Despite the inappropriate content, some users expressed their opinions humorously. There were remarks about the shocking nature of the posts, with one social media user saying, “I thought we all agreed that @Elmo was off limits.”

Another commented sarcastically about the implications of Elmo’s tweets on political elections. Meanwhile, Sesame Street has found itself in the news lately, especially with recent Republican endeavors to cut PBS funding, a move that President Trump also supported in an executive order signed in May.
