The bat that New York Yankees star Aaron Judge plans to use in the upcoming MLB All-Star Game was showcased on social media recently, ahead of the event at Trust Park.
This particular bat has a notable reference to a Bible passage from 2 Corinthians 5:7. The verse speaks to living by faith rather than sight.
Judge often integrates his Christian beliefs into his social media bios, indicating that faith takes precedence in his life over baseball. In 2022, he mentioned this specific verse, saying it’s one of his favorites. He reflected, “I let it guide my life and trust that there’s a bigger plan. We can’t predict what lies ahead, but if we have faith, we will find our way.”
Despite facing a recent slump, Judge remains among the top players in baseball. As the All-Star break approaches, he boasts a batting average of .355 and an OPS of 1.194, along with 35 home runs and 81 RBIs, leading the majors in hits with 125.
He’s on track for another likely run as American League MVP, having won the award last season after hitting 58 home runs, a record in the American League. Judge is set to start in right field for the All-Star Game scheduled for Tuesday night.
The game will be broadcast on Fox, starting at 7 PM.
