A call to ‘none of the above’ conservatives

Forget about the “Never Trumpers” supporting Kamala Harris. Most people are so caught up in their egos, so busy placating newfound progressive donors and protecting their brand that they forget to promote good ideas, which is what conservatism is all about. and Stop thinking bad thoughts. The sad reality is that many people have stopped supporting Republican candidates and are truly fight for Long before President Trump, he advocated conservative ideals.

They think of themselves as “keepers of the flame,” but when William Buckley explained that sometimes we are called to run into the town square and yell “stop!” They forget that they brought their principles to the table. Trump will be the first Republican in 40 years to lead Team Stop!

We're not fighting a 1984 Reagan vs. Mondale battle. We are fighting against Orwell's 1984.

These Never Trumpers don't appreciate history and don't understand what many conservatives, and most MAGA populists, realize. NeverTrumpers are part of the Republican Party and rarely shout or fight because they are afraid of offending the Georgetown/Manhattan crowd. And they never actually stop the left. Instead, they often stand by or break agreements to allow the left to partially pursue its harmful policies, and then “slow down” America's leftward shift. Then they toast each other.

However, our focus here is on another group of “leadership” groups: writers, commentators, and policy leaders. Their logic is as follows. “I'm a conservative so I can't vote for Harris, but Trump isn't new so I won't vote for either candidate.”

This “none of the above” group includes some of the people many of us still respect when it comes to policymaking and conservative thought leadership. Members of this group write columns and appear on talk shows and podcasts. They develop and promote conservative policies and fight against “welfare states,” “nanny states,” and totalitarianism, whether socialist or communist. Many people do it well.

Unlike NeverTrumpers, many members of the “None of the Above” group sometimes fight to promote good policy and block bad policy. I have enough hope to believe that I can persuade this group to join us in our common cause.

Many people are so angry at times about President Trump's actions that they forget Michael Corleone's sage advice: “Never act on anger. It clouds your judgment.”

Too often, members of this group direct their anger at Trump. They slam his comments, social media posts, and even his policies. They criticize his words and actions and claim he is “not a true conservative.”

There's good news and bad news here. He does not claim to be a “conservative leader.” Trump is a populist who strives to ensure that the voices of the voiceless are not forgotten and that their families, communities, and values are not trampled upon or mocked. The good news is that Mr. Trump has many conservative principles and is fighting for many traditional American values.

Conservatives' biggest mission is to help Trump win, which is to stop the left from doing harm. And once elected, we must work with his team to enact common goals, modify if necessary, and, yes, stop his bad ideas if necessary. .

not your father's democrat

The modern Democratic Party, represented by Kamala Harris, is not the party once represented by Walter Mondale or Hillary Clinton. This is a left-wing ideology whose adherents do not want to make America great again because they see it as flawed, immoral, and a failed experiment. They openly reject capitalism, American exceptionalism, and the Constitution.

Ms. Harris aims to govern by executive order and place cabinet ministers and Cabinet ideologues in the Justice Department, Defense Department, Border Patrol, Environmental Protection Agency, and Department of Education.

On the issue of school choice, the party does not even believe that parents should be responsible for the upbringing of their children when it comes to school policy – much less give parents “permission” to choose their children's schools. I haven't thought about it.

Their agenda includes open borders, defunding the police, banning fracking, and imposing policies that clearly have a negative impact on public education and students, and on poor and working-class children. These include forcing people to attend “school”, “cancelling” student loans, and packing the Supreme Council. Courts “limit” the First Amendment.

With all due respect, how can my conservative friends say they can't vote to stop her, to stop them?

If their left-wing policies aren't enough to force you to support Trump, then do what you want him to do. Put down your keyboard and iPhone. There is no need to criticize every abusive word, speech, or policy. You are hurting him, and you are hurting his compatriots who are helping him build a majority coalition.

the real battle we face

Some conservatives have even written and said on TV and radio that our conservative movement is bigger than Trump. Some say our movement is more important than any election. With all due respect, that's not the case.

First, we are not in the 1984 Reagan-Mondale battle. We are fighting against Orwell's 1984.

Not just conservatives, but America cannot afford to allow Harris to institutionalize and nationalize leftist policies. Our philosophies and values exist to influence elections, govern, or prevent bad policy.

Second, the grave misconception that Ms. Harris' policies can be blocked if she wins or negotiates can be done unilaterally and by those she appoints. Ignoring the harm. It also assumes that Republicans in Congress are smart enough, organized enough, and courageous enough to fight back.

And there is a naive idea that “Once Trump is gone, we can go back to normal,'' and we end up discussing the tax system. But things have not been “normal” since the Obamas vowed to fundamentally transform America. And in the Biden era, from open borders to schools, things are no longer “normal” in Washington, local school districts, and cities, and we're no longer discussing tax policy.

We are fighting to protect capitalism, national security, and the Bill of Rights.

To my conservative “none of the above” brethren, I urge you to reconsider. Please help our fellow Americans go to the ballot box and vote for our team: Stop!

If you can't do that, put down your keyboard and iPhone. Trump is Trump, and in 2025, let us all come together to stop the left, promote Trump's good policies, and work to fix his bad policies.
