A devoted fan of Luigi Mangione, Lena Weisbrot, has made a disturbing statement expressing that she would harm her own mother if she were to become a health care executive. This comes after a report revealed that her mother, Reina Natero, is a senior manager at CVS Health.
The 32-year-old Weisbrot first denied her mother’s executive role but later took to her Instagram Story to share her shocking views. In a chilling comment made outside Mangione’s court hearing, she had previously said that the children of Brian Thompson, the late UnitedHealthcare CEO, were “better off without him.”
In a text posted on her Instagram, she claimed, “She is a worker,” referring to her mother. Then, she added, “If my mother was a health insurance executive, I would have shot her myself,” in a cold tone.
Weisbrot elaborated on her reasoning: “If she were a health insurance executive like Blaine [sic] Thompson and I was who I am today, with a will to inherit wealth and perhaps redistribute it to those harmed by her company, I think I’d feel justified,” she noted.
Continuing with her unusual thoughts, she added that these notions, albeit extreme, were just a fantasy that somehow excited her: “That fantasy makes me… wet,” she stated.
She also posed the question in an overlay on her Instagram Story: “Would I actually edit my mom if she were the CEO of a health insurance company.” And then urged others to stop debating hypothetical scenarios.
Weisbrot was among a small group of enthusiasts who received press passes from City Hall to attend Mangione’s pretrial hearing.
The game developer and rapper, known for her provocative art, is also behind a music video that mocks the death of Thompson, where she raps in a bikini, expressing the sentiment that “CEOs are parasites and now they’re getting shot.”
As of now, Weisbrot has not replied to requests for comments.
