A Mexican undocumented immigrant is accused of crashing into an ICE vehicle in St. Paul, Minnesota.

An undocumented immigrant was arrested on Saturday in Minnesota after allegedly colliding with a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle, according to federal officials.

Tranquilino Sixto-Anorve, a Mexican national, was taken into custody on suspicion of crashing an ICE vehicle with another car in St. Paul. Authorities indicated that Sixto-Anorve had multiple DUI convictions, leading them to believe he posed a “threat to public safety.”

ICE issued a statement emphasizing the dangers that their agents face. They noted that the situation underscores the increasing risks stemming from negative sentiments expressed by opponents of ICE.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed that Sixto-Anorve entered the U.S. illegally, although the specifics of when and where are unclear. He remains in ICE custody.

This incident is part of broader worries regarding illegal immigration and reports that some activists are trying to disrupt federal law enforcement activities by using force.

DHS had earlier mentioned a staggering rise in vehicle attacks on ICE officers, revealing a 3,200% increase. From January 21, 2025, to January 7, 2026, there were 66 reported “vehicular attacks,” compared to just two during the same timeframe the previous year.

Recently, another undocumented immigrant was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, for using a weapon during an attempt to evade arrest, which included ramming two ICE vehicles.

In a separate case, Robin Argote Brooks, a Cuban immigrant without legal status, is accused of crashing into two ICE vehicles in a San Antonio parking lot while trying to escape authorities. Video footage captured the chaotic scene, showing Brooks disregarding police orders, ultimately leading to a forceful arrest by investigators.

Overall, these events reflect challenging dynamics surrounding immigration enforcement and raise questions about safety for both law enforcement and communities.
